Assemblymember Anthony Rendon
Elected in to the 63rd Assembly District in November 2012 and re-elected in 2014, he represents the communities of Bell, Cudahy, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, Long Beach, Lynwood, Maywood, Paramount and South Gate. Assemblymember Rendon serves as chair of the Assmebly Committee on Utilities and Commerce. He also serves on the Assembly Appropriations Committee; Natural Resources Committee; Public Employees, Retirement and Social Security Committee; and the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee. Assemblymember Rendon previously served as the executive director of Plaza de la Raza Child Development Services, an organization that provides comprehensive child development and social and medical services to over 2,100 children and families in Los Angeles County. He also served as adjunct professor in the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at California State University, Fullerton. Appointed to the Little Hoover Commission by Speaker of the Assembly John Pérez in February 2013.
